Electrician + Project Manager South/South West

Job Description:

Starting at £28k + Commission + car/van + laptop (negotiable dependant on experience). Opportunity available to join a leading renewable energy installation company covering the whole range of technologies, including: Solar PV, wind, solar thermal, heat pumps. The position will be based in the South &; South west so will require a degree of travelling and nights away.

Responsibilities to include:

  • Project management of installation Teams
  • Setting & maintaining deadlines
  • Site survey & Ordering of scaffolding, machinery & equipment
  • Technical advice to Clients & Staff
  • Customer facing to ensure always kept up to date & happy

Skills and experience required include:

  • City & Guilds 236 Part 1 (Electrical Installation)
  • City & Guilds 236 Part 2 (Electrical Installation)
  • City & Guilds 2381 (16th Edition)
  • City & Guilds 2382 (17th Edition)
  • City & Guilds 2391 (Test & Inspection)
  • City & Guilds 2400 (Design & Verification)
  • City & Guilds 2372 (Solar Photovoltaic Systems) – not essential
  • Working at heights training – not essential
  • Full Clean UK Driving Licence
  • Installing both A.C. and D.C. components of solar electric (P.V.) systems, ensuring installations are completed in a timely and cost effective manner, to a high standard, making sure works are carried out safely to meet Health and Safety requirements and comply to current regulations.
  • Excellent organisation & customer communication skills are both very important aspect of the role also.

Biomass & Heating Sales Manager – South England

Applicants should have detailed experience in the sales of Heating related systems.

The role is to identify new business opportunities, generate sales and provide account management services to domestic and commercial customers across the south of England. The ideal candidate will have had significant experience in a similar role ideally with a particular specialism in Biomass & Heat pump projects.

Ideally you will need to have a track record of business development – meeting and achieving targets, qualifying new business opportunities, managing internal relationships, developing and delivering high quality proposals and acting as primary contact for clients during the proposal qualification and development stage.

Duties include:

  • Selling Enviko products and services
  • Generate leads and seek out new relevant potential lead information
  • Develop and maintain business with existing Key Accounts
  • Represent the company at sales orientated events, trade shows and conferences
  • Price & size new systems
  • Project manage heating related installations (preferred)
  • Attend sales meetings and other key industry events at other UK locations

You will have an ability to develop competent technical solutions and a proven track record in a technical or engineering sales environment.

Renewable Energy Project Manager/Installer

Opportunity available to join a leading renewable energy installation company covering the whole range of technologies, including solar pv, wind, solar thermal, heat pumps and biomass amongst others. The position will be based in the South West assisting in the development of a new regional office and work in and around the region.

Responsibilities to include project managing installations, assistance in site and technical visits, designing systems and providing technical advice to clients and staff. with an aptitude to succeed and desire to learn. Candidate should be a keen individual who is keen to join a proactive and progressive company to develop their career within this exciting and expanding industry.

Useful qualifications can include amongst others main electrical certifications and plumbing with general IT literacy. Renewable energy installation experience useful but not essential as training can be given.

Should have full clean driving license and able to travel for work, van to be provided.

Renewable Energy Designer (AutoCAD Draughtsperson)

The AutoCAD Drafter will be responsible for drafting a range of renewable energy systems (mainly Solar PV/Thermal, but also Wind, Biomass and Heat Pumps) and will report to Technical Director. The ideal candidate will have AutoCAD and drawing set creation experience, have formal training (Bachelor’s Degree or similar) as well as hands-on industry experience. An understanding or background in the renewables or built-environment sector is useful also. It is intended that this position would develop through in-house training and accumulation of expertise to a role that would encompass high-level Sales and Project Management responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpreting multiple sources of information to create construction and permitting drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Creating, editing, and formatting drawings for homes and businesses using AutoCAD.
  • Communicating with planning authorities and equipment suppliers to determine requirements.
  • Communicating with in-house engineers, surveyors and installation teams to develop and deliver system designs.
  • Supporting designers and operations staff located at other regional offices.

Requirements:

  • At least one year of intense AutoCAD usage. Familiarity with dimensioning, scaling, and typical CAD standards preferable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with an eye towards automation.
  • Organized and able to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Works well in a fast paced work environment.
  • Adapts easily to changing requirements in a growing industry.
  • Can work independently and within small groups.
  • Confident, independent decision-maker.
  • Experience creating complete drawing sets.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with residential construction.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical design is preferred and beneficial but not required.
  • Willingness to occasionally travel to job sites throughout the UK.
  • Ability to work safely in attics, crawlspaces, and on rooftops is preferred but not required.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Passionate about sustainability, green power, and energy efficiency.

  • This position is to be based within the main offices of Enviko Ltd, Kingston-upon-Thames. The office is within easy commutable distance of London and the surrounding area.
  • Salary dependent upon experience, circa. £16-21k

Solar Thermal/PV Installer Engineer

The applicant will install/assist in solar thermal and PV installations. Experience and qualifications in solar thermal would be an advantage. The applicant will also be expected to learn the installation of underfloor heating/ground source heat pumps. Once trained, the applicant will be in charge of a van and installation team.

Heat Pump Installer/Engineer

Experience in ground source heat pump installations would be an advantage, however we would also consider training for the right person. The applicant will also be expected to learn the installation of underfloor heating, solar thermal/PV. Once trained the applicant will be in charge of a van and team. The applicant should have NVQ 2 qualification in plumbing.
