This solar thermal system was installed at a school in East Wittering. It comprises of 180 evacuated tubes in the form of 7 collectors.  The main objective of the system is to provide heat to an outdoor swimming pool to be used through the summer months.

Unfortunately this project did not qualify for the Renewable Heat Incentive as the pool is external, if it was indoors there was potential to earn over £1000. Enviko worked closely with the facilities manager throughout the install and carried out both technical and structural surveys.

The solar thermal system works in conjunction with an air source heat pump but works as the primary heat source providing almost completely free energy.

The collectors carry the Solar Keymark Certificate, and have been tested for both durability and performance in accordance with the industry standard EN12975-2 procedure and MCS standards.
