Wren Extreme is a Wren Micro-turbine variant with key component changes to make the unit perfect for use in marine and industrial applications. Key component upgrades include a new yaw pivot and bearing arrangement to allow the turbine to cope with the large forces involved with a pitching a rolling vessel on the open ocean. Other upgrades include ingress protected slip-rings and anodised bearing housings for protection against saltwater corrosion. A new stator configuration with advanced cooling further allows the turbine to run through 'big winds' without worry of burn-outs or failure.
